Description
Origin: Indonesia. Steam distilled from the dried ripe seeds. Base note.
Steam distilled from the seed of the Nutmeg tree, this essential oil Nutmeg is a tree from which the seed is steam distilled. The active compounds in this oil include camphene, dipentene, sabinene and borneol. Some of its countries of origin are Java, Sumatra, West Indies and Indonesia.
Nutmeg essential oil may assist digestion as it has stimulating properties. It is also a good analgesic and may help with muscular and rheumatic pain. It may also help with flatulence, nausea, indigestion, impotence, scanty periods, poor circulation, aches and pains.
Nutmeg essential oil blends well with Cinnamon essential oil, Clary sage essential oil, Clove essential oil, Geranium essential oil, Lime essential oil, Orange essential oil, Petitgrain essential oil and Rosemary essential oil.
